Kira-Kira response Chapter 14~16

Lynn's death have impacted to many people. Firstable, whole family was impacted. Especially, Katie was impacted by lots of ways. Lynn was intelligent, clever young girl. She always get straight A's for whole year. She was the most clever girl in her class. However, Katie always get C's. So Lynn told her to get a better grade right before when she was dying. Katie decided to try her best to get A's like her sister, Lynn. Katie used to get helped for every homework from Lynn, but now because Lynn is gone she have to try alone without getting help from anyone.  

Kira-Kira Blog Response Chapter 12~13

Begining of the chanpter 13, Katie got really mad at Lynn which she usually not to do. Katie really wanted to do anything for Lynn so Lynn can get better. At the middle of late night, Lynn called Katie to get a cup of milk. Katie's parent weren't at house because they had to work late to get money for Lynn's medical bill. Katie asked Lynn if she was sure to drink milk and she said yes. But when Katie brought milk to Lynn, Lynn said she want a cup of water instead of milk. She through a cup with milk at the rug. All the milk was spoiled at the rug. Katie got so mad, because even Lynn knew that her parents are working hard for her, but she is making them to work harder by making them to buy a new rug. But Katie did brought her a cup of water, because she was sick.

Coming of Age Project

Tukcanos are the South American Indians. This Indians usually hunt for their own food. So they have their own equipments and skills to catch animals. They also know how to catch Anacondas easily without getting hurt. They have to first find out the hole where Anacondas live. A man have to go into the hole with a hard leather surrounded at his right arm and a fire with a bunch of grass so it can make a somke that can faint Anacondas. The leather is for pretection if the Anacodas are not fainted, the man will make the Anaconda to bite the leather and take it out from the hole. Now they will have Anacondas for their nice dinner.

Grandparent/parent interview

I discovered about the interview was that everyone's grandparents and parents thought that they reached adulthood when they went to university or when they graduated university. My father thought that he reached adulthood when he graduated university too. I think they are thinking they reached adulthood at that time, because when people go to university, they get more freedom compare to elementry, middle and high school. Also, parents don't tell their chidren what to do. They make their children to do their own work by themselves. Also, world events had not effected a lot to parents. There were big world events, but that have not affected a lot like world war 2.

FRIM TRIP

Because we were with a large group, we have to work out the problems with a good team working. But there is always someone who doesn't want to do work. Because of this person someone had to do more works for him. It will take more time of course. For example, Mr. Walsh told all the student to come out, but some sudents were not following the instruction. So our free time became shorter. I hate toilet. It smelled really bad and I didn't got a chance to shower.

The best thing about the FRIM was that I can hang around with my friends for whole two days. I like hanging aroung with my friends than staying at home and talking to my family.

Kira-Kira Responce 1-3

I think Katie is more close to her dad. Her mom is too sensitive. She wants so many things from her children. She is really straight. She doesn't want her childern to be rood, not to talk and not to giggle. That might make Katie and Lynn in great pressure. This makes Katie to be far away from is mom. But her dad is really close and friendly to her. Katie's father is more outgoing. She play with her dad by heating (punching) her father's stomach which she can't to that to her mom. When mom was screaming at Katie, dad cover up Katie. Dad was the one who was trying to make happy when Katie was sad because of her Bera-Bera and leaving Iowa. Dad talks to Katie more than her mom talking to Katie. Dad is more taking care of Katie. That's why i think Katie is closer to her dad.

Friendship Quote

This quote means that even whatever things leave you, friends doesn't leave you forever. Whatever happens to you friends are going to be with you, so if you think you are left out you should go and find your friends. When I am having a bad time with my family, I go and find my friends. Because they are the one who can make me not feel sad. They makes me happy.
