I discovered about the interview was that everyone's grandparents and parents thought that they reached adulthood when they went to university or when they graduated university. My father thought that he reached adulthood when he graduated university too. I think they are thinking they reached adulthood at that time, because when people go to university, they get more freedom compare to elementry, middle and high school. Also, parents don't tell their chidren what to do. They make their children to do their own work by themselves. Also, world events had not effected a lot to parents. There were big world events, but that have not affected a lot like world war 2.

I agree with you. My dad also thought he went through adolescence after going through high school.
ReplyDeleteC.Y I was suprised how much you grabbed in by your dads interview and how you were so interested and wanting to get to know your dad. I liked how you were brief telling me the info you learned about your parent. I was reading and I actually wanted to be there listening to your presentation to learn more.

CY, yes, you will probably feel the same when you go to university. It may be he first time that you have large amounts of freedom, but also large amounts of responsibility!
